Located a short distance from vibrant spa town Harrogate, Rudding Park is a large country house hotel that boasts stunning parkland, two golf courses, and a luxurious onsite spa.

Location
SY Rating 9/10
Rudding Park is surrounded only by parkland, making it the perfect destination for those seeking greenery-filled seclusion.
Despite its rural location, Rudding Park sits only a 10 minutes drive from the many delights of Victorian spa town Harrogate, including the famous Betty’s Tea Rooms and Harrogate’s Turkish Baths. For non-drivers, Rudding Park can be easily accessed on public transport by catching the number 70 bus from Harrogate centre.
If you travel slightly further afield, you can find York and Leeds, both around a half-hour drive away. You’ll be charmed by York’s effortless blend of modern city living and medieval architecture, while Leeds offers a thriving indie food scene and retail-lovers paradise.
Price
SY Rating 7/10
While a stay at Rudding Park offers good value for money, it’s not cheap. Rudding Park is a destination best suited to special occasions, such as a wedding anniversary or birthday.
King-size beds in the Ribston Wing start at £249 for the night, with the price of a night in a luxury suite coming in at a minimum of £574.
Access to the opulent onsite spa and rounds of golf are paid extras, with a day at the spa setting you back at least £165, depending on add-ons.
Facilities
SY Rating 8/10
Rudding Park’s facilities are what truly sets this luxury hotel apart from the rest. You can easily spend a day at Rudding Park without leaving the site, as it genuinely has something to offer for everyone.
The elegant hotel boasts two golf courses, the complete 18-hole Hawtree Course and the 6-hole Repton Short Course, both of which give you the chance to practise your swing amongst breathtaking scenery.
Where Rudding Park really shines, however, is its spa offerings. Visitors to the extensive spa can enjoy saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs and a hydrotherapy infinity pool. Individual treatments can be quite expensive, so we’d recommend indulging in one of the spa’s packages, such as the £180 full day package featuring a two-course lunch.
Once you’ve finished a day of pampering at the spa, you can visit the onsite hair studio, the private library or the contemporary Horto Restaurant.
Food and Drink
SY Rating 9/10
Rudding Park offers not one but two impressive eateries, both serving up a pricey but delicious array of dishes.
The 3AA Horto Restaurant uses seasonal ingredients to create unique and contemporary dishes, such as the delicious salt aged duck and tasty vegetarian cauliflower tart made with aged parmesan and golden sultanas.
Horto Restaurant offers diners a 6-course tasting menu for £94, with the option to add a selection of expertly-picked wines for £60.
Rudding Park’s Clocktower Brasserie enjoys a more informal atmosphere during the day, but transforms into a more glamorous destination by night. Visitors to the Clocktower Brasserie can enjoy the use of the South facing terrace, perfect for alfresco dining on a sunny day.
The Clocktower Brasserie is open for most of the day, serving up breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner. The Brasserie’s dinner menu includes classic dishes such as sea bass, steak and roast chicken. Vegetarian options include wild mushroom pappardelle and herb and potato cake. Mains at the Clocktower Brasserie will set you back between £20-£30.
